A bit about me.
I was born and raised in Northern California and currently reside in Sacramento. I'm big on exploring the woods, reading and producing weird literature, and messing up new vegan recipes.
In my work, I want to use words and images to foster understanding of the forces that define our world. I'm passionate about advancing animal rights and restructuring global food systems, and I know that the two go hand-in-hand.
Though my personal interests and beliefs are deeply held, I am a curious and adaptable person. I actively seek opportunities to research and write about topics with which I am wholly unfamiliar in order to shed light on important stories.

My approach to comms
I've worked in communications since graduating from UC Santa Barbara in 2017.
My first foray into post-grad life landed me in the coffee industry. As the communications manager for a farmer-owned coffee cooperative based in Sacramento, I learned how I could apply my love for writing, diverse cultures and stories, and economics to communications work.
Since then, I've developed communications programs and strategies for several organizations within the economic development field. I love the challenge of translating the complex and extensive work of organizations into the various elements of a brand: from ensuring that colors and fonts reflect an organization's personality, to leveraging copywriting, press relations, and in-house editorial platforms to advance thought leadership.
